«Behind the Mask» is a visual study dedicated to Mexican lucha libre and the mask as a tool for constructing a new identity. The mask is examined not only as a part of the wrestler’s costume that conceals their real face but also as a visual code that shapes the recognizable character image. Through color, form, symbols, costume, body, and movement, the piece explores how the luchador’s personality gradually transforms into a constructed persona. The mask becomes a kind of boundary between the human and the character—simultaneously concealing one while creating the other.
