Independent media covering fashion, art, and visual culture.
THE ASK — this is an independent Telegram channel about fashion, visual culture, and seeing more in familiar images.

The project is founded not just on its visual elements, but on an attempt to understand how those elements function. I explore photography, artistic techniques, cultural contexts, and the ways images interact with the viewer.I independently develop publication themes, conduct visual research, create photographic materials, write the accompanying texts, and design the posts. One of the project’s initial pieces is dedicated to street photography and how ordinary urban scenes are transformed into narratives that the viewer completes themselves.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ABOUT PEOPLE
This series of street photography served as the starting point for exploring how we perceive the familiar urban environment and why even random moments can capture our attention.
The photographs feature unfamiliar people, bustling streets, and everyday city scenes. They lack a preconceived composition or a fabricated narrative: I capture these moments exactly as I encounter them in reality.
Through this series, I explore how street photography allows for a fresh perspective on the mundane. The city—usually perceived as mere transit space—transforms into a source of stories, emotions, and visual observations.
The material expands upon the photographic series with accompanying written reflections in the THE ASK Telegram channel, where I contemplate the nature of viewer attention, the expressiveness of candid shots, and an image’s power to evoke association.
