«Observatory» is an independent journal project focusing on humanity, individual style, and visual culture.
As part of the team, I am involved in developing the publication’s Instagram account, serving as the creative editor, and working on the visual presentation of the posts. My goal is to transform archival materials, interviews, magazine pages, and photographs into cohesive editorial narratives.
Among the initial topics are Miuccia Prada in her 2002 interview for Vogue Russia, Madonna and Gianni Versace in 1995, and the image of Emmanuel Alt—a handsome French woman.
Miuccia Prada — Vogue Russia Interview, 2002
This publication is dedicated to Miuccia Prada and her 2002 interview for Vogue Russia. In this project, I merged archival photographs, excerpts from the magazine interview, and visual details to construct a carousel composition centered on the designer’s figure. The objective was to preserve the character of the print publication while adapting archival material for a contemporary digital environment.
Madonna and Versace: A Double Romance, 1995
This publication explores the intersection of pop culture and high fashion in the history of Madonna and Gianni Versace. I worked with photographs and magazine clippings, arranging them into a sequence that reveals the theme through imagery, detail, and visual association. Primary focus is placed on composition, the rhythm of the images, and the atmosphere of 1990s fashion culture.
Emmanuelle Alt — the elegant French woman
This publication is dedicated to Emmanuelle Alt and her recognizable approach to personal style. Through a combination of photographs and magazine clippings, I constructed a visual portrait that focuses on silhouettes, the minimalism of her looks, and her distinctive way of self-expression. Working on this carousel allowed me to explore how the sequence of images shapes a cohesive visual narrative.
«Observatory» is currently in the process of formation and is preparing for its first issue, scheduled for the end of October. Right now, we are working on developing the magazine’s visual language, its editorial concept, and the initial content. This marks the beginning of a project where fashion becomes a way to speak about individuality, culture, and the human experience.
