KROYM — a conceptual fashion brand situated at the intersection of art, ideology, and experimental clothing design. The brand explores the relationship between the individual and the system—between personal freedom and societal constraints. Its starting point is the visual language of the Soviet era: work and military uniforms, Constructivist graphics, monumental inscriptions, industrial architecture, and the imagery of a collective future. The creative work of Erik Bulatov plays a vital role in this concept, where space, perspective, and the word enter into a complex dialogue within his paintings. The inscription ceases to be mere text, transforming instead into a boundary, an obstacle, or a tool for influencing the viewer. KROYM transfers this conflict from the pictorial space into the physical space of clothing. In its collections, the uniform becomes a symbol of the system, while the deformation of familiar silhouettes, contrasting details, painterly surfaces, and unexpected material combinations serve as a means of resisting its rules. Red and blue, white spaces, large inscriptions, and industrial forms create the brand’s visual language. Here, clothing exists simultaneously as protection, a shell, a sign of belonging, and a means of self-expression. It can impose a given form upon the body, yet it can also recontextualize that form, turning it into an individual statement. KROYM views fashion not merely as the creation of garments, but as a medium to discuss freedom, memory, power, and the human right to determine one’s own identity.
