The initial project was an experimental investigation into the invisible presence of the past in clothing through the use of secondhand items. The study is founded on the idea that clothing retains traces of its previous owners, even when their histories remain unknown. Fraying, folds, changes in texture, and signs of wear became the starting point for exploring form and material. The result was a reinterpretation of used garments, where another person’s past becomes integrated into a new aesthetic.

Startup Description
Floaters — an experimental fashion brand situated at the intersection of fashion, art, and visual culture. The brand explores the concept of trace as a reflection of human experience, time, and interaction with the surrounding world. Through expressive silhouettes, unconventional details, and experiments with form, it transforms everyday clothing and accessories into objects with their own character. The brand’s concept extends beyond fashion, shaping a cohesive visual environment that unites clothing collections, product design, advertising campaigns, and spatial installations. Floaters invites viewers to see everyday items differently, uncovering hidden meanings within familiar shapes and details.
Concept
The concept is rooted in the metaphor of drifting—existing outside a predetermined trajectory, where movement is defined not by a final goal, but by interaction with the surrounding environment. The brand rethinks familiar silhouettes, objects, and visual imagery, liberating them from fixed meanings and suggesting new ways of perception. This idea is manifested through experimental clothing, accessories, graphic compositions, and spatial designs, where displacement, asymmetry, and a sense of weightlessness become part of the visual language. FLOATERS crafts an aesthetic of flux, where the absence of certainty becomes a space for self-expression and new forms.
