Concept
To reimagine the traditional memorial urn as a personal repository of memory—one where one can preserve not only ashes but also personal belongings, small mementos, and objects that evoke associations with the individual’s life.
The urn’s primary function is to preserve the material traces of a person’s identity: a piece of jewelry, a letter, a photograph, a small keepsake, or an item that reminds loved ones of shared moments. Each object acquires a unique value because it holds personal history, emotion, and memory.
The collection features ceramic urns crafted from white clay, finished with a glossy glaze and decorated with artistic renderings in a Gothic aesthetic. The central motif involves black images of angels, symbolizing protection, peace, and the connection between the earthly and the eternal. The contrast between the light ceramic and the dark graphics elevates the urn to an independent work of art.
This concept continues the philosophy of the «Place of Memory» brand: the memory of a person is composed not only of photographs and stories, but also of the objects that were part of their life. The urn becomes a personal space to house these material testimonials, allowing loved ones to preserve something tangible, imbued with individual meaning.
The core idea: memory can be embodied in objects, not just held in recollection.
