Creators of the new HSE Saint Petersburg fashion club revealed project details at a private meeting.
Saint Petersburg, September 29. At the first official closed meeting, the creators of the new student fashion club at HSE Art and Design School presented the concept for the future association and discussed its development plans. The organizers reported that the project will revive the previously existing club, Daring Fashion, which ceased operations in 2025.
During the meeting, the team discussed the future direction of the club and how it differs from the previous project. The new collective will develop in the areas of alternative, underground fashion and counterculture.
One of the main areas of focus will be events related to garment creation practice. The organizers plan to host workshops on item customization, sewing, and working with textiles. The event program also includes screenings of documentaries about alternative fashion, followed by discussion.

«We are creating a space for creative individuals who understand fashion not just as clothing, but as performance, ” said Victoria Tsikalo, one of the club’s founders responsible for organizing offline events.
The project creators announced that they will not launch a completely new organization but will revive the Daring Fashion student club with a new team and concept. According to the organizers, the project’s return could attract the attention of the club’s existing audience interested in the new format.
The new collective was founded by students enrolled in the «Design» and «Media Communications» educational programs. The project’s development is supported by the HSE University Saint Petersburg Center for Youth Project Support.
The club’s first event will be a screening of a documentary film dedicated to alternative fashion. The date for this event will be announced later.
The HSE develops areas related to creative industries and design. The university hosts events aimed at supporting creative communities and fostering new cultural formats. Previously, university representatives participated in the «UNESCO Creative Cities» forum to discuss the role of the creative economy and the significance of creative projects for the urban environment.
