Concept
The «SPES» item is designed as merchandise for a post-apocalyptic video game. The game takes place in a scorched desert where clean water has vanished. Faced with the unbearable horror of imminent demise, humanity chose the path of escapism.People created a «mask culture”—a collective agreement to turn a blind eye to the surrounding nightmare. In the game, the mask functions as a mental and visual filter, allowing characters to pretend everything is normal and to enact their social roles.The central Venetian mask is a ritual mask of blind optimism. It is worn during religious rites so that one only notices the beautiful.The Dragon is a fictional deity. In Asian mythology, the dragon governs rivers, water, and rain. For the people in the desert, it has become an idol to whom they pray for salvation.The fan is a tool for survival under the scorching sun, which has also been transformed into a ritual object.

Dragon scale: The dragon’s head is 11 cm wide (25% smaller than the mask) to visually emphasize the structure without overpowering the face.
Hanging tail length: The dragon’s tail extends 18 cm below the bottom edge of the leather body.
The total vertical axis of the art object, including the tail, is 42 cm.
The tail is positioned precisely down the center of the spine to balance the load.
Dangles: Three rows of chains on the right measure 10, 12, and 14 cm respectively, creating a cascade that ends in a thin tassel 8 cm long.
