Concept
The Moscow bar market is oversaturated, and classic guides offer too broad a selection. If you want to play a quiz or participate in other activities, 2GIS or Yandex Maps won’t tell you where you can go. You end up having to monitor the social media of specific bars and track announcements. Conversely, it’s frustrating when you’ve spent so long searching for a cozy spot to quietly talk with friends, only to end up in a «social explosion.» Far too much time is wasted searching for the right bar for the evening.Project Goal: to create a Telegram bot that selects the ideal venue for a user’s evening out with alcoholic beverages.
The bot functions as a personalized sommelier and logistics coordinator.
Two entry scenarios:
- «I want a surprise»: The user trusts the algorithm. The bot suggests 2–3 top options based on the user’s history and weekly trends.
- «I know what I want»: The user completes a questionnaire for precise customization.
Every two weeks, the bot sends a proposal featuring a specific bar. Each user receives a suggestion to visit a particular venue based on their interests, search history, and initial inquiries.
Thematic Plan
Months 1–2
Database Creation: Reviewing 20–30 bars in central Moscow and building a partner database.Development: Launching core functionalities (survey, geolocation, routes).Promotion: Registering in bot directories and running outreach in local Telegram channels.
Key Features:Smart Filter:
The questionnaire includes parameters such as: «What do you drink?», «Drink budget» (based on average checks), «Number of people», and «Desired activity» (quiz, DJ, quiet).
Geolocation: Search nearby (1–2 km radius).
Bar Hopping: Generates an optimal walking route between 3–4 selected bars with time calculation.
Midpoint Bar: Locates an establishment equidistant from two points on the map.Retention and Virality:
Achievement System: For a review, a story tagging the bot, or inviting a friend—users receive «beer backs» (a free drink or a discount at the next recommended bar).
Dynamic Rating: Weekly selection of «Top 5» and «Anti-Rating» based on real user reviews, not fabricated ones.
Months 3–4
Expanding the Database and Live Data
Live Status:
Implementation of occupancy data. The bot informs the user of the real-time occupancy of a selected bar or within a specified time frame, rating it from 1 to 10.
The bot analyzes statistics and can suggest alternatives: «Usually on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM, it’s at 7/10, but by 9:30 PM, it clears down to 5/10.»Reservations:
Integration with services (LeClick, Restik) to check table availability in real time.Group Selection:
A tool for companies. The user creates a poll, shares the link with friends, and the bot suggests a final option based on consensus.In-depth Review Analytics:
Moving beyond «stars» to qualitative feedback. The survey is enhanced with open-ended questions: «What was terrible?», «Best drink of the evening?», «Funny story?»
Months 5–6
Premium and Monetization
Premium Subscription: Access to «secret» bars without signage. Private events (collaborations with venues).
Social Matching: The bot organizes social events for meeting people (friendship or romantic). The user completes a questionnaire and receives a colored bracelet upon entry (for example, yellow means «looking for friends»), which codes their intentions. Bot-hosted events: A monthly «Funny Stories Night, ” where a stand-up comedian reads out the best user reviews from the database.
Access Terms: Premium access is granted either through payment or through loyalty (a minimum of two quality reviews per month for six months).
Performance Marketing:
The establishment purchases access to the bot’s Premium audience. The bot selects 10 loyal users, gives them a deposit for the evening, and in return, receives an in-depth, honest review.Direct Advertising:
Paid announcements for themed parties, quizzes, and special offers in the bot’s main feed.
