Concept
MEMOIR VAULT — a collectible cardholder with retractable slots. This is a piece of merchandise tied to the joint diploma project Afterimage and a physical embodiment of a key in-game artifact. In a world rapidly descending into cyberpunk, the corporation AXIOM created a neuroimplant designed to record and store memories. The idea occurred to me to embed the memories of those who create Fayside within this chip. This gave rise to a meta-series of collectible figures, housing 2D avatars of our team inside the chip’s casing.

Development Principle
The collection is built upon a unified mechanism (sliding slots) and three body color schemes, which reference factions from the game’s lore:
Blue (Calmness): The baseline state. The color of stable memory, digital coolness, and control. In the game, these are moments when the hero is grounded in reality and can trust their perception.
Purple (Negative Emotions): The color of psychosis, hallucinations, and distortion. This is the state where the chip overheats, and the hero perceives things that aren’t there.
Red (Danger): Critical level. The color of warning and panic. In the game, these are moments of catastrophe, life-threatening danger, and complete loss of control over reality.
Inside each body is a unique chip featuring a character. The series can scale infinitely—with the addition of new body colors, new characters, and interchangeable engraved faceplates.

Parameters
Final product dimensions: 105 × 70 × 18 mm
Main material: Impact-resistant plastic (PETG or PLA for FDM printing the casing)
Additional materials: Photopolymer resin (for high-detail character chips), transparent plastic (for the slot window), M2 micro-screws, or neodymium magnets for assembly.
Product components:
Casing (base + lid).

3 interchangeable pieces featuring 2D characters.
Color solutions: Spray painting, stencil printing of logos, matte varnish for the casing.
Production
The card holder is designed as a modular system.
Slots: These consist of P-shaped guides into which the chips are inserted. Fixation is achieved either through the density of the fit or micro-magnets.
Swappable Elements: These are the character chips themselves. The user can swap them, creating various combinations.
