Concept and Form Factor
A series of collectible plastic figures reimagining the bear motifs from traditional Skopinsky ceramics. This project explores how folk plastic art can exist within the context of contemporary object design and collecting culture.

Skopin toy «Three Bears, ” Alexander Vasilyevich Popov, 1990s
Retaining their characteristic silhouettes, conventionalized proportions, naive expressiveness, and decorative indentations, the figurines achieve a new material embodiment. Instead of ceramics, plastic is used, allowing the objects to be reproduced through 3D printing.

«Bear,» Andrey Konstantinovich Zharinov, second half of the 20th century
The series is based on the principle of a single character with variable narratives. Proportions, style, material, and core features remain consistent, while gestures, poses, and props lend individuality to each figurine. A key feature of the project is that the figurines do not strive for anatomical accuracy; their expressiveness is built upon imperfection, roundness, and stylized form.
