well, I’ve been afraid of changing
The song «Landslide» by Fleetwood Mac is dedicated to the fear of life changes, growing up, and self-discovery.
because I’ve built my life around you
The most significant life fear for many is the transience of life and its inevitable end. The tapestry explores this fear through the image of the remains of a hoofed animal submerged in a vast puddle, while in the reflection, clouds continue to drift by, and the lives of other people, reflected in the water, carry on.
but time makes you bolder
The colors of the tapestry are quite dark, but the shades themselves should evoke a feeling of melancholy and tranquility. The vertical lines can reflect both the yearning upward and the inevitable descent.
