Concept
The tapestry is created as an artistic extension of the diploma project concept for a Russian-style hotel on the shore of Mereya Lake, near Korsakov. Its purpose is not simply to decorate the interior, but to express the cultural identity of the area through the imagery of nature, traditional motifs of Russian decorative arts, and a contemporary interpretation of historical heritage.

The composition is built around a landscape of Mereya Lake, encircled by coniferous forests and rolling hills. Natural forms are reinterpreted in a decorative manner: the silhouettes of trees acquire the rhythm of an ornament, the water’s reflection transforms into a succession of color bands, and graceful botanical swirls frame the lower part of the composition. Thus, the recognizable Far Eastern landscape merges with the artistic language of the Russian tradition.
