Concept and References
As part of the «Art Practice» course, I am developing a transformer accessory designed for sensory de-escalation, which integrates acoustic earplugs and a flexible necklace into a single construction. The target audience consists of neurodivergent individuals and those seeking kinesthetic experiences for whom texture and tactile sensitivity are important. Therefore, the decision was made to create a complementary graphic series to convey the brand’s values and sensations: comfort, lightness, and grounding.
To convey the brand’s aesthetic, the «PSTLGLOW» visual style was developed, and a foundational prompt was formulated, which served as the starting point for creating a library of source materials for the model’s subsequent training.

Using the free version of ChatGPT, an initial series of images was generated, which allowed us to test the prompt’s functionality and explore the possibilities of the chosen visual direction.
For each image, only two colors were selected from the palette, along with one object characteristic: amorphous, scattering shapes, or the human figure and its physicality.

The generation results showed that the model most accurately conveyed the aesthetic of pstlglow when working with abstract forms. Compared to the initial generations, it rendered the style more smoothly, softened transitions, and eliminated unnecessary visual noise. However, when generating narrative scenes and human figures, the model often drifted toward excessive photorealism. Because of this, the characteristic blur, sense of mystery, and ephemerality—all vital to the brand’s visual language—were lost, requiring several rounds of prompt refinement.
