Tapestry «Willow Bark»

Main Project — a short animated film — explores the coexistence of childhood and nature. Its foundation lies in simple observations of the flow of life and routine, interwoven with childhood memories.

The idea for the tapestry originated from the quietest protagonist—a giant Willow tree. The technology itself implies the possibility of tactile perception of the object. I think everyone enjoyed touching their grandmother’s rugs as children. Along with this, the natural bark serves as a strong tactile image. Thus, the concept was born, where the image and the technology reinforce each other. For the tapestry, an independent abstract illustration was prepared, in which the bark and moss on it can be discerned.
