«The Squirrel’s Matter”—
an original sculpture project dedicated to the industrial history of Klimovsk and the people whose labor played a crucial role in the city’s development. The composition unites a polygonal figure of a squirrel with a large gear—a symbol of mechanized production. The squirrel’s image serves as an artistic embodiment of diligence and mastery, while the gear references the city’s industrial heritage, a development deeply linked to the production of equipment for the textile industry.
The sculpture is proposed for placement in the new Klimovsk Park as a standalone art object, capable of introducing visitors to the history of the area through a contemporary and recognizable artistic form.
Material—cast bronze with a gray-graphite patina
For the sculpture, cast bronze with a graphite-gray patina was selected. The surface is polished, featuring a distinct silvery sheen while retaining darker areas. The artistic casting technology allows for the reproduction of the polygonal geometry and the sculpture’s fine details. Bronze is resistant to atmospheric elements and is suitable for outdoor placement.
