Concept
Wall decor is usually chosen between a mass-produced poster and an expensive original piece. There is almost nothing in between them.
I conceived a bas-relief using hand-sculpting that can be replicated as a series and sold at an affordable price.

Technique
A triptych composed of tessellated panels—a method of dividing a plane into figures that create an infinite pattern. The outline of one animal simultaneously serves as the outline of its neighbor.

Fabrication

The relief is cast from a hand-crafted master model. A digital model provides clean geometry but eliminates the mark of the hand, whereas in tessellation, it is the unevenness of the contour that distinguishes an original work from a pattern.
