A contemporary interpretation of traditional Indonesian Wayang Kulit.
The project explores how the visual language of Wayang can be
transformed using geometric abstraction,
unconventional proportions, and vibrant paper colors.
The core concept of the toy is the combination of doll characters with geometric shapes and a system of movable play elements.

NARRATIVE:
In a world defined by equilibrium, the Goddess Vishnu safeguards the existing order and maintains the world’s integrity. However, an ambitious demon strives to seize power and disrupt this balance, leading to a conflict between them. As their battle intensifies, its repercussions reach the human world, forcing Gatotkaca, a hero aligned with humanity, to intervene in an attempt to halt the devastation. Yet, by entering the fray, Gatotkaca becomes entangled in the very conflict he seeks to end. Ultimately, no one emerges victorious. Instead, the intensity of their confrontation transforms their bodies and alters the world around them. The world does not return to its original state; it continues in a new and uncertain form, resulting in the personalities and roles of the three characters being fundamentally changed by the battle.
