Previous Project: «Table for Two,» a zine about everyday life. Concept: At art fairs, viewer attention is always focused on art objects and paintings. What if we shifted the focus to the routine day of gallerists? Examining their work tables in detail, eavesdropping on casual conversations, and counting all the laminated name badges.
TABLES
Art residency is a space where artists come to create work outside of their usual environment. These residencies can be thematic, dedicated to a specific exhibition or event (e.g., a biennale or triennale), open, or pedagogical.
The «STOLIKI» Art Residency is located in the Sverdlovsk region, within the city of Sysert. The foundation of this artists' space is co-presence and co-participation. In addition to individual workspaces and accommodation, artists are given the opportunity to connect and work around large, communal tables, as well as invite local residents and guests to participate, depending on the artistic practice.
