The exhibition «Before It Disappears» is an investigation into the temporal aspect in art, asserting impermanence and transience as independent artistic categories. The concept unfolds on two interconnected levels. Form and content merge into a single whole, where form is a meditation on material vulnerability, articulated through Eva Hesse’s words on the fragility of her work, and the exhibition’s content serves as a metaphor for the institution itself—a traveling circus.

Exhibition space
Artists address mutable or organic substances that obey the laws of nature—decay, melting, decomposition. These works possess their own transient, time-bound lives. The exhibition also features pieces made from traditional art materials but dedicated to the theme of ephemerality, or works that document a moment that has already passed.
The main feature of the exhibition is the catalog book.
