WHY THIS PROJECT IS RELEVANT NOW
Переосмысление привычного пространства через форму и конструкцию одежды
Contemporary culture transforms leisure into a consumer product. The beach, traditionally perceived as a space for rest, becomes a reflection of a society where downtime is organized around goods, services, and sustainable behaviors.
CAN CLOTHING BE A MEANS OF CRITICALLY VIEWING CONSUMER CULTURE?

WHAT DO I RESEARCH?
The beach as a microcosm of consumer society. This space, traditionally associated with freedom and relaxation, becomes a site for the manifestation of social rituals, collective habits, and a culture of consumption. The core of this research lies in the material environment of the beach: sun loungers, umbrellas, inflatable mattresses, life preservers, and other objects that form the visual iconography of mass leisure.By analyzing the form, function, and visual characteristics of these objects, I investigate how everyday items can serve as the foundation for creating an original fashion collection.
BEACH OBJECTS AS A FORM OF SHAPING/DEVELOPMENT

Loungers, inflatable mattresses, and life preservers become the foundation for developing garment silhouettes and structural elements. In this project, familiar beach leisure items are reinterpreted through scale, volume, geometry, and texture. Their formal qualities are transferred into clothing, transforming into sculptural details and unusual proportions.
VISUAL INSPIRATION SOURCES
В основе визуального языка коллекции лежит эстетика массового пляжного отдыха
A key reference is the photographer Martin Parr, who reveals the characteristics of consumer society through saturated color, irony, and observation of everyday life.
COLOR PALETTE AND PRINTS
Цветовая палитра коллекции основана на визуальном языке пляжной инфраструктуры
The collection’s color palette is based on the visual language of beach infrastructure and tourism advertising. The primary combination of red and white references striped umbrellas, tents, and inflatable accessories.
The graphic component is built upon contrasting stripes, repeating geometric elements, and imagery of beach objects. The prints reinforce the connection between the clothing and the recreational environment, while the rhythmic repetitions allude to the mass production and standardization of consumer culture.
