«I can fit your style»

post

Hi! I’m Sofia Chigai, a 3D generalist working on a variety of stylized projects.For you I can:
— work in any stylization and match your art style;
— take assets from concept to game-ready;
— create characters, props, and environments;
— optimize and set them up in the engine;
— follow your pipeline and iterate fast.I create stylized characters and environments for games of different styles that read clearly, are memorable at first glance, and work in gameplay, taking each asset from concept to a game-ready model that fits seamlessly into your project’s style and pipeline.

WAKO

Original size 864x486

Goal
To create a unique fairytale style that combines a watercolor look with shadow theatre, so the game feels like a living storybook while staying readable and clear in gameplay.My tasks:— developing the project’s visual style;
— creating characters and their animations;
— creating VFX and gameplay feedback effects;
— creating 3D assets;
— texturing 3D assets;
— level art and lighting setup.

WAKO is a 2.5D platformer about a monkey first mate making its way through a pirate ship seized by mutineers.The huge ship is home to fairytale creatures. When famine strikes, the fight for resources sparks a mutiny against the captain. During the battle the ship is badly damaged, and now it is slowly sinking. Wako must reach the captain before the ship goes under.

Result

As a result, WAKO got a unique fairytale style that blends watercolor and shadow theatre, with VFX, levels, and lighting working together to create a cohesive storybook atmosphere. As a 3D generalist, I handled the full visual side of the project, from style development to game-ready assets in the engine.

OTARA

Original size 1070x541

I recently joined the OTARA team and have already made a solid contribution to the project. My goal was to bring the game together into a single cohesive style: I refined character animations, dressed the levels, created new assets, and reworked existing ones.OTARA has a more realistic look, with a muted palette and no fairytale elements, which let me show a completely different side of my work.

OTARA is a 3D horror shepherd simulator with a mutating flock. Herd your sheep through the mountains, where nature has turned against humans. By day, the sheep protect you from natural anomalies; by night, they turn into bloodthirsty monsters. Care for your flock, survive the night attacks in the pen, and lead your herd to the summit.On this mountain, your sheep are both your greatest threat and your only protection.

Original size 1057x690

As a result, OTARA got a cohesive, atmospheric look: the improved character animations, dressed levels, and new and reworked assets now work together in one consistent realistic style that supports the game’s horror mood.This project showed that as a 3D generalist I can step into an existing game, adapt to its style, and bring it together into a unified whole.

Happy House

On Happy House, I was again responsible for the visual side: characters, animations, and effects.Unlike the fairytale WAKO and the realistic OTARA, this game has a simple, bright style without complex textures. By carefully combining every element, I gave it a clean and cohesive look, showing that I can adapt to very different stylizations.

Original size 800x449

Happy House is a first-person 3D tamagotchi simulator with procedurally generated levels. You play as a collectible figurine chosen for an experiment to give a tamagotchi artificial intelligence. To survive, you must adapt to constantly changing rooms and keep track of your needs.

Ultimately

Happy House got a bright, friendly, and cohesive look: characters, animations, and effects work together as one whole, and the style stays consistent even as the procedurally generated rooms keep changing. Together with WAKO and OTARA, this project shows my range as a 3D generalist, from fairytale to realistic to simple and bright.
