SimPilot — AI Assistant for SimRacers

Media Goal
Creating media for sim racers where an AI assistant organizes solution discovery and live interaction, so that everyone can quickly find an answer—from a database or from another pilot—and not be left alone with the task.
SimPilot

- Organizes the site—structures the database of solutions, tags, search functionality, and categories.2. Organizes communication—connects individuals asking questions with those who can provide answers.3. Organizes content—transforms answers, questions, and guides into a structured knowledge base.4. This is more than just a «search engine + chat.» It is a facilitator that knows:5. Which participants are currently online and available to help6. Which questions have already been addressed and where the answers are located7. What topics are currently being discussed in the chats8. What track and setup reviews are planned
Subgoals
Make finding solutions quick: An AI assistant finds the answer in the database or connects you with someone who can help.
Create a vibrant community: Flash questions, chats, voice rooms—the AI assistant manages the flow.
Inspire a desire to return: The AI assistant remembers what you looked for yesterday and suggests relevant topics for today.
Lower the barrier to entry: Newcomers aren’t afraid to ask questions—the AI assistant advises on how to phrase them correctly and finds someone to answer.
How does an AI assistant organize a website?
AI Assistant is the core of SimPilot. It doesn’t just answer questions; it manages the entire structure.
How Everything Works
— Structures the database: Automatically tags solutions by simulator, track type, car class, piloting level, and language.
— Finds answers: Locates relevant solutions in the database, complete with timestamps and sources.
— Connects with people: If no answer exists—it finds online pilots who can help.
— Creates categories: Formulates curated collections, such as «Setups of the Week, ” „Popular Tracks, ” and „New Guides.“
— Adapts content: Translates English guides, extracts timestamps, and structures the information.
— Remembers context: Knows what you searched for yesterday and suggests relevant content for today.
What this looks like to the user
You visit the website.
The AI assistant asks: «What are you looking for?»
You type: «I can’t consistently master the chicane in Monaco on GT3; the car is losing the rear end.»
The AI assistant:
searches the database → finds 3 guides with timestamps
checks who is online → sees that Dmitry (5 years in iRacing, A-rated) is currently in the chat
suggests: «Here are 3 solutions from the database. Alternatively, you can ask Dmitry—he is online.»
You choose: view the solution or ask a quick question.
If you ask a quick question—the AI assistant formulates the query, sends it into the stream, and connects you.
The answer is saved to the database. The AI assistant tags it and adds it to the appropriate category.
How AI Organizes Communication and Search:
Hot take
The AI assistant formulates the question for you: «User is looking for a solution: ‘how to avoid a shunt in Monaco on a GT3, losing the rear axle.’ Level: Intermediate. Urgency: High.»It sends this to the stream of users who are online and competent in this topic. It connects you with those who have responded. It saves the answer in the database. It tags and adds it to the relevant category. Why this works: research on sim-racing platform users has shown that both novice and experienced pilots use a «prompt-first» model—they immediately go to YouTube or Discord, bypassing built-in tutorials. The AI assistant intercepts this impulse: instead of «ask the AI, ” it becomes „ask the AI that will find a person.“
Chats
General Chat — The AI assistant moderates, provides suggestions, and connects users.
Thematic Chats — Chats are organized by simulators (iRacing, Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, ACC) and specific assignments. The AI assistant knows which users are in which chat.
Private Messages — The AI assistant can suggest: «Dmitry is ready to help; here is his profile.»
Voice Rooms — The AI assistant creates a room specific to the task (for example, «analyzing a lap at Spa»), and invites participants.
Guides
Anyone can record a short guide on a track, setup, or driving technique.
The AI assistant helps by suggesting structure, extracting timestamps, and tagging content.
It adds the guide to the database, citing the author.
It connects content with users who have searched for similar material.
Why it works: 84% of users preferred AI-generated video descriptions over original ones because the originals «merely repeat the title» or contain «irrelevant content.» The SimPilot AI assistant does the same, but for sim racing guides.
Sessions
Once a week — a live session. The AI assistant collects questions that have accumulated over the week. It generates the agenda: which tracks and tasks to review. It invites anyone who can help (quick pilots, setup engineers). It records the session. It saves it to the database with timecodes.
Competitors and their analysis
Direct Competitors:
Sim Racing Discord Servers+: Live community where you can ask questions.–: No AI assistant. No search system. Everything is in the feed. A response will be buried in a month.Reddit (r/simracing, r/iRacing) / Forums+: High-quality answers.–: Clunky search, everything is in English, no AI organization.Coach Dave Academy / VRS (Manual Setup Building)+: Answers are based only on verified data.–: You have to search for things yourself, no community, no AI communication organization.
