A series of three necklace jewelry pieces dedicated to the famous Hermitage cats. Their history begins in the 18th century when, by order of Elizabeth Petrovna, specially selected cats were brought to the Winter Palace to combat rats and mice. Thus, they became part of the Hermitage’s history and one of its recognizable symbols.
As prototypes, we used the cats currently living in the Hermitage; each of the three pieces is dedicated to a specific cat.

The design for the jewelry took inspiration from elements of the Hermitage Museum’s interior design.

The series connects the image of the cat with the cultural heritage of Saint Petersburg and the history of the Hermitage, transforming the museum’s symbol into a contemporary piece of jewelry.
