The project is based on Franz Kafka’s novella, «The Metamorphosis.» I was particularly interested in the moment when an ordinary person suddenly becomes a stranger to themselves and to others.
Metaphor«Form loses itself while retaining its outline»
Two parts of the collar are connected by a metal brooch shaped like a font I designed, translating the letter from a plane into a physical object. The brooch fastens the collar and disrupts its classic silhouette, while the contrast between the soft fabric and cold metal reflects the inherent opposition of thin and thick lines embedded within the typeface itself.
