The Pink Cow is a souvenir object developed as part of the Vadnagar urban improvement concept. The figurine translates the city’s image from public space into everyday life—it can be taken with you as a small reminder of the place, its atmosphere, and its cultural context. In this way, the open-air city-museum project extends into product design.
For mass production, colored ABS plastic is proposed. It allows for a smooth surface and precise reproduction of the figurine’s minimalist form. The pink pigment is incorporated into the material before molding, and the glossy effect is achieved by polishing the mold’s working surfaces. The specific plastic grade and dye composition are chosen based on the intended use of the item.
The exhibit sample is proposed to be fabricated using 3D printing, followed by sanding, priming, and the application of a glossy pink finish. For a small souvenir run, it is possible to create a silicone mold from the prepared master model and cast copies from polyurethane resin. This method allows for testing the form, color, and surface quality before launching mass production.
