This material is a news report dedicated to a key event of the academic year for first-year students in the «Media Communications» program at HSE in St. Petersburg: the final defense of multimedia longreads. Over two and a half months, 22 student teams completed the full cycle of media product creation—from topic and subject research to reportage shooting, text writing, and final layout. The piece summarizes the 4th module and showcases the professional growth of the students through the lens of their best work.
Objective: To vividly and structurally highlight the key event of the academic year—the final defense of multimedia longreads in the Media Communications program.
What we did: We attended the project defenses, gathered in-depth commentary from the instructors, selected the strongest quotes, and structured the material into a news report format.
