My dream media project is the creation of a music and music group magazine.
«SHUM» is an independent magazine dedicated to the contemporary alternative music scene, focusing on shoegaze, indie rock, and related genres. The focus is on young musicians and local bands that are forging their own sound outside the mainstream.
The magazine explores not only the music but also the aesthetics and creative processes behind it. Through interviews, photographs, musician stories, and original features, «SHUM» introduces the reader to the independent scene and the people who create it.
The preliminary page layout is dedicated to the band Couch Surfing, who play in the shoegaze genre. The material is based on information about the band taken from their official VK page.
This work presents a visual concept for a future magazine dedicated to indie rock, shoegaze, and the independent music scene. Through a combination of typography and photography, I sought to convey the atmosphere of alternative music and reflect the character of its sound.
