Concept
Porcelain served as the starting point for the project because it inherently holds a contradiction. It is perceived as fragile and delicate, yet after firing, it becomes strong and resilient. This quality became a metaphor for the human experience—what seems like a weakness or a burden can eventually become part of one’s foundation and form.

I wanted to create a figure that spoke not of direct suffering, but of its reprocessing. An angel with shards instead of wings becomes an image of a person whose form is constructed from experience. The shards appear heavy and uneven, but it is precisely they that transform into a new foundation and a means of moving forward.
