01 / CONCEPT — Preserve what remains
This work continues the «Conservation» project, in which I developed posters about heritage preservation. The texture of wood is inscribed within the silhouette of the Bobrinsky Count’s mausoleum: its fibers and cracks convey the building’s fragility. The ruin is presented not as a trace of loss, but as a value worth safeguarding. In the new version, the image is placed beneath glossy acrylic. The contrast between the rough texture and the smooth protective layer reveals the concept of conservation—halting decay and allowing the monument to await restoration.

Ruin as Value: Conservation halts decay and preserves the building’s authenticity. Continuation of the «Conservation» project.

02 / MATERIAL — Roughness under protection
The wood grain is integrated into the silhouette of the building. Its fibers and cracks convey the fragility of the ruins. Transparent acrylic adds a protective layer, keeping the marks of time visible.
In plasticization, the roughness is a visual effect of the image. The physical surface of the object is smooth and glossy.
