Within a great oak, a tiny squirrel kingdom unfolds. Among its noisy inhabitants lives a squirrel who finds beauty in the most unassuming things.
One day, using crooked, dark, and disparate nuts, she creates an unusual portrait of the Queen.

This work is inspired by my original animated film, «The Oak Queen”—a story about an artist squirrel who finds beauty in imperfection and, through her unique perspective on the world, becomes a court painter. Laminating transforms one of the animation stills into a standalone piece of art, preserving its fairy-tale atmosphere and handcrafted quality.
