ORIGINAL PROJECT
Polina An original short film about Polina, a pet turtle, who experiences existential dread regarding the ephemerality of existence and loneliness.
The domestic space, observation, slow movement, and the absurdity of daily life form the basis of the film’s visual language.

FROM CHARACTER TO BRAND
In the original film, Polina is more than just a pet turtle.
She exists within a slowed-down world where ordinary daily actions take on an almost existential scale.
I transplant this world outside of the film.
Slowness → observation → home → object.
Thus, POLINA is born.
POLINA — OBJECTS FOR A SLOWER LIFE
POLINA — a contemporary home goods brand that grew out of an auteur film.
Light, ceramics, printed publications, and small daily objects come together in one slow space.
POLINA does not promise you will become more productive.
It does not promise a new version of yourself.
Nothing is urgent.
POLINA / VISUAL SYSTEM
The identity is built upon the collision of two states:ARCHIVE × EVERYDAY LIFEOn one side—the visual language of old publishers, archives, and museum catalogs. On the other—a living apartment, an aquarium, plants, wood, and random household objects.LOGO
POLINA—a typographic wordmark imbued with the character of an independent European publication.

GRAPHIC LANGUAGE
The graphic system is assembled from simple motifs:
— circles of water — abstract shell shapes — fine lines of motion — archival signatures — object numbers — frames and grids — small diagrams and schematics
The graphic does not explain Polina’s image literally.
It leaves room for conjecture.

ADVERTISING
Advertising becomes an extension of the brand’s idea:
even in the city, you can do nothing…
SPACE
A shop, exhibition space, and apartment all in one.
The space is designed like a house that unexpectedly became a gallery.
Inside: — a large aquarium — dark wood — ceramics — soft lighting — plants — books and printed materials — objects for observation — a long bench
The items are spaced far apart.
Visitors are not rushed from one object to the next.
