«Time-Out» — in sports, it’s a break; in life, it’s a sentence. Or is it the first step toward a new career?
Our podcast explores sports as a vast system of professions where everyone can find their place—both during and after their career. We help listeners build a complete «map» of the industry, covering everything from sports managers and journalists to psychologists and nutritionists.
Objective: To shatter the myth that athletic careers lead only to coaching, and to show listeners a roadmap of professions within the sports industry.
What we did: We created a career guidance podcast in the interview format. We recorded and edited episodes featuring guests who have built successful careers at the intersection of sports, media, and health.
Issue 1: Nutritionist—Food Coach? Building a Career Without a Tennis Court in Tel Aviv
Guest of the issue is Daria Gracheva—a nutritionist, health coach, and tennis player. She has come a long way, from a seven-year-old girl with a racket to a sought-after nutritionist in Israel.
We will discuss how to stop being afraid to step off the court, apply athletic skills in a new field, and realize your potential in another country.
From Carpet to Media? Building Advertising Communications in Sports Business
Olesya Lipatova—PR Manager for the international fitness platform MIROS, and a trainer specializing in functional training and stretching. She has progressed from competitive artistic gymnastics at age 12 to working in international fitness.
We will discuss how to avoid choosing between sports and media, how to connect with a trainee, how to make workouts an enjoyable part of life—and how not to burn out along the way.
In this project, I served as a co-host, author-screenwriter, sound operator, and sound editor: I developed the interview structure and questions for the guests, led the on-air dialogue, and was responsible for the technical quality of the recording, editing, and mixing for both episodes.
