Why are we drawn to strange worlds, unusual characters, and fairy tales with a dark atmosphere?
In this podcast, we explore the artistic language of Tim Burton and attempt to understand how an aesthetic, utterly distinct from any other, is formed.

The focus of the discussion is not on individual films, but rather on the distinct elements of the director’s world: the contrast between light and shadow, the expressive color palette, the grotesque characters, recurring visual motifs, and the blending of the dark with the tender. Through examples from Burton’s work, we discuss why his stories continue to captivate audiences and how his visual style becomes integral to his authorial voice.

The project was created as part of a course assignment with three classmates. I served as the main lead, contributing to the concept development, script preparation, and visual design. During the recording, I steered the conversation, posed questions, and enriched the discussion with facts about the director.
