Moon Valley

Ivan Klyun traversed the path of the Russian avant-garde alongside Kazimir Malevich—from symbolism and Cubofuturism to Suprematism and beyond. Yet, while Malevich strove for the absolute perfection of form, Klyun sought the freedom of color—diffused, luminous, and alive.

My project is inspired by one of Klyun’s paintings; it is untitled and was created in 1916–1917.
Concept
«Lunar Valley» is a playground inspired by a painting by Ivan Klyun. The main concept is to bring the artist’s creativity to life, allowing children to play directly within his work. Elements of the painting have become real swings, a carousel, a canopy, and a crescent-shaped bench. The colors are also taken from the canvas: bright red, yellow, blue, and black. During the day, it is a joyful place for play, and in the evening, the canopy lights up, creating a magical atmosphere.
