The illustration was created inspired by Renata Litvinova’s play, «North Wind.»
In the plot of the play, the family clock in the living room has an extra, thirteenth hour where magical things happen. I wanted to convey the enchantment of this object using hand-drawn numerals. Furthermore, instead of hands, the clock displays keys—another highly evocative image that features constantly in the work. I decided to convey the winter atmosphere through the color palette.
