«LINER NOTES”— a music reading Telegram media
The project compiles musical playlists for specific books, authors, genres, and scenes.

Its purpose is to help the reader immerse themselves in the work’s atmosphere more quickly, eliminating the need to spend time searching for suitable accompaniment. Unlike generic reading playlists, LINER NOTES considers not only the overall mood but also the specifics of the reading session—duration, music dynamics, presence of vocals, and sound intensity. The selection must support the text’s atmosphere without overpowering the focus.
The goal of the project is to make music a seamless part of the reading experience and to transform the process of selecting suitable accompaniment into a clear, understandable system.
The main format is a post featuring the book cover or an atmospheric image, a brief description of the mood, listening guidelines, and links to the ready-made playlist.

Every piece of material must function autonomously: the reader should understand what book or situation the music is intended for, when to play it, and what to expect from the sound.
Editorial Principles
Main Timing: 45–60 minutes per reading session. The playlist duration is designed for approximately one reading session.
Other foundational principles:
No distracting vocals.
Instrumental compositions, vocalizations, and vocals that do not distract from the text are used.
Smooth dynamics.
Abrupt transitions and a high number of loud peaks are excluded.
No spoilers.
The description conveys the atmosphere without revealing plot twists.
Editorial review.
Every track is listened to by a human, and titles and links are checked before publication.
Three catalog tracks
Curators
Playlists tailored to specific authors and their sonic worlds: Stephen King, Joe Hill, H.P. Lovecraft, J.R.R. Tolkien, and others.
Genres
Music collections for epic fantasy, cosmic horror, gothic literature, detective fiction, and other literary movements.
Scenes
Music for particular reading moods: nighttime reading, travel, rain outside the window, anxious anticipation, returning to a familiar world.
Publication Format
Neural networks are used to explore directions, develop description variations, and generate visual assets. The final musical selection, adherence to editorial standards, and accessibility checks for the compositions remain the responsibility of the editor.
Each main post includes:
1. Collection title and cover image. 2. Description of the atmosphere in two to three sentences. 3. «Reading Guide»: recommended volume, tempo, and suggested scenario for use. 4. Tracklist. 5. Links to Yandex Music and/or VK Music + YouTube. 6. Intensity tag: quiet / medium / dense. 7. A question for the readers or a suggestion for the next topic.
Half-Yearmatic Plan
The main publication rhythm is three times a week.
Monday and Wednesday — primary materials: musical selections corresponding to books, authors, and genres.
Friday — a more flexible format: selections for reading scenarios, editorial notes, and discussions with the audience.
Each month is dedicated to a specific literary focus. Within the thematic cycle, selections featuring works by particular authors, genre materials, and publications exploring the nuances of musical accompaniment alternate. This approach allows for the continuous development of the catalog without being restricted to a single writer or repetitive selections.
Month 1. Epic Fantasy and Mythology
Challenge of the Month: Introduce the audience to LINER NOTES through epic literary worlds, journeys, and mythological narratives.
Month 2. Horror: From Mundane Fears to Cosmic Terror
Prompt of the Month: to demonstrate how different subgenres of horror demand distinct musical approaches. This month focuses on three authors who employ disparate methods to generate dread.
Month 3. Gothic and Dark Literature
