A portable seed container designed to integrate urban environmental care into daily life.
SEED-Y—a reusable container accessory for a small seed stash. It attaches to a bag or backpack, accompanying the user on familiar routes.Upon spotting a suitable spot for planting, the user can retrieve the container and sow the seeds. This could be a personal yard, a street planter, or an area approved for landscaping.
The item connects personal style, a love for plants, and the opportunity to perform a small, meaningful act.

Fill the container with seeds chosen for the region and planting conditions.
— Screw on the lid and insert the container into the housing.
— Attach the accessory to a bag or backpack.
— At a suitable location, remove the container, open the lid, and pour out the required amount of seeds.
— Close the container, return it to the housing, and refill as needed.
Sowing requires suitable soil, season, and subsequent care. SEED-Y helps you carry seeds with you, maintaining a thoughtful approach to planting.
The series is based on rounded botanical silhouettes. The plump volume, soft edges, and pastel shades transform the functional container into an expressive object one wants to carry with them.
The first model is a stylized four-petaled flower in a light pistachio color paired with a soft yellow container.
Potential development of the series: — periwinkle: a five-petaled shape reminiscent of a whirligig; — sedum: a soft star with rounded tips.
SEED-Y is composed of four printed parts: the front and back halves of the casing, a removable container, and a threaded lid.
The casing is hollow inside. The cylindrical socket is separated from the petal cavities by its own wall. The halves connect via clips, and the container is held in the socket by a pair of magnets.
The threaded lid allows the container to be opened and refilled with seeds. The modular design allows access to internal components and the possibility of replacing them individually.
The casing dimensions are 90 × 90 × 48 mm without the tab. The container is 40 × 50 mm with the lid attached.
We propose 3D printing with filament containing recycled plastic. The hollow body reduces material consumption, and the modular design allows for parts replacement.SEED-Y aligns with Sibur’s direction of reintegrating polymer raw materials into production: the material gains a new function in a reusable, everyday object.The exact material composition and color tones are confirmed with the manufacturer.
A 3D model consisting of four parts has been developed. The next step is a test print to verify the latches, threads, and magnetic attachment.
Following refinements, we will produce a pilot batch and prepare for mass production. Cost and timelines will be confirmed with the manufacturer.
