At the core of this series is a phenomenological correlation between sound and photographic imagery. This relationship is established through the shared category of tonality—an analogy between the high and low keys in photography and the high and low frequencies in sound. Pitch becomes the central semantic unit, defined by its variability and instability.The space responds to this optics, reciprocates, and reveals points of topographical change—rises and falls of varying intensities. This forms the overarching visual narrative of the series. The focus is on industrial landscapes that do not require human presence, existing autonomously and therefore lacking a clearly defined temporal charge. The space condenses and fuses, demonstrating an unnatural continuity and uniformity.With the sign of time, the category of internal dynamics also disappears. Urban landscapes, which would ordinarily be saturated with movement and noise, are colored by a monolithic background hum. The decentralization of space resonates with the homogenization of urban soundscapes. One cannot rely on sound to determine direction, yet simultaneously, it sets the perspective. This gives rise to the problem of localization—it is difficult to definitively pinpoint the source of a sound,
but one can track its movement through space, its fluctuations, how it sweeps past, dissolves into the surrounding drone, and integrates into the polyphonic breath of the city.The visual imagery of the series corresponds to this intonation. Through panoramic framing, the images acquire a category of duration and prolonged time. The photograph, which is intended to be ephemeral, is stretched and unfolds simultaneously in space and time. The result is an installation based on the classification of observed phenomena (auditory, photographic, and spatial), distributed uniformly according to a high-to-low gradient.
