Concept
Nonfiction for kids and teens about the fundamentals of cybersecurity. The book offers an engaging approach to the topic: instead of dry instructions—it delivers a captivating story paired with practical value. At the heart of the narrative is Trojan, a young virus who initially aimed to become the most dangerous threat, but after diving into cybersecurity basics, he realized that defending digital systems is far more interesting than hacking them. By following his journey, the reader will master key rules for safe online behavior, learn to recognize threats—such as phishing emails or fake links—and understand how they operate.
Problem and Relevance
The digital environment is an integral part of their lives, yet the risks within it are high—ranging from phishing and cyberbullying to personal data breaches and involvement in cybercrime. The nonfiction curriculum teaches them how to recognize threats, protect themselves and their loved ones, and behave consciously and responsibly in the digital space. This engaging format helps them absorb and apply the rules more effectively.
The project’s goal is to raise youth awareness about potential digital environment threats and to inform them about important phenomena in virtual space.

Plot
Troy—a young and completely inexperienced virus—is burning with the desire to become the most dangerous computer menace. He firmly resolves to master the fundamentals of cybersecurity: he wants to know his «enemy» face-to-face and understand all his tactics. But the deeper Troy delves into this topic, the more compelling it becomes. Gradually, he realizes that defending systems is far more fascinating than trying to hack them.
Visual Language
The virus and its surrounding environment will be depicted in pixel art style.
Positioning
The book merges narrative with practice: through the Trojan story, kids master cybersecurity without being overwhelmed by jargon, and interactive elements (tasks, checklists, decision-making choices) help transform rules into lasting skills. Its value lies in presenting current threats in an understandable way and fostering conscious behavior in the digital space.
Because the topic is highly complex and constantly evolving, the book includes a continuously updated bot, website, or application to keep the information current.
The final product can be published as a standalone work or on behalf of a company specializing in information technology development.
