Title: «Between Us» (Working Title)
Format: Short-form interactive film
Genre: Family dramedy
Runtime: Approximately 20–25 minutes
Age Rating: 12+«Between Us» is a story about family, intimacy, and differing perceptions of a shared past. During Polina’s birthday celebration, relatives reminisce about an event from her childhood—an event each remembers differently. Gradually, beneath the usual family jokes and everyday chatter, the characters' hidden emotions emerge, and the past takes on new meanings. Through the collision of memories, the film explores collective memory and illustrates how love and care do not always equate to complete mutual understanding.

The film is targeted at an audience drawn to themes of family intimacy, mutual misunderstanding, growing up, and reevaluating relationships with parents and other relatives. An additional audience may include viewers interested in the themes of collective memory, the subjectivity of recollections, and short-film festival cinema.

The uniqueness of this project lies in the visual comparison of subjective versions of a single event. The frame composition, camera movement, tempo, and handling of details change depending on whose perspective the viewer observes the action from. Recurring images and objects connect the present and the past, acquiring new meanings across different memories. The film does not offer a single definitive version of what happened, allowing the viewer to synthesize what they have seen independently.
