As an accessory, Japanese headwear was chosen: Kasa hats and Tengai, along with a military cap from Imperial Japan.
The forms and silhouettes of the headwear were stylized after various types of mushrooms.
The collection’s color palette is built around black and milky white. This combination emphasizes the silhouettes and allows the focus to remain on texture and structure. Red translucent inserts serve as an accent on one of the headpieces, resembling droplets on the mushroom’s surface. The pieces are unified by layering, repeating elements, and the contrast of materials. Each item reveals a distinct characteristic of its natural inspiration: lamellar structure, concentric rhythm, or the combination of fibrous surface and smooth droplets.
Cap

The white cap is constructed from overlapping fabric panels that frame the face and descend to the shoulders. Its arrangement is reminiscent of the layered structure of fungal growths. The dense cotton fabric conceals cardboard inserts that maintain the shape of the side panels and the brim. The elements are secured with overlapping fastenings. The black, glossy polymer frame with irregular cells echoes the porous surface of a mushroom, contrasting with the matte weave of the white fabric.
«Casa» Hat

This elevated black-and-white hat reinterprets the broad conical silhouette. Its base is a cone-shaped frame that is worn on the head and supports a white plastic basin positioned above it. Over this sits a glossy black casing topped with a white cylindrical apex. Three concentric bands of white fabric with frayed edges run across the surface. A dark fabric trim is attached beneath the outer brim, draping freely around the perimeter. The rigid structure establishes a clear geometry, while the irregular fabric edges evoke the texture and border of a mushroom cap.
«Tengai» Hat

The third headwear features a voluminous silhouette with flared brims, completely concealing the head and chin. The body, constructed from matte black plastic, is accented with short, dense cotton fringe arranged in rows along the top and the edges. Red, semi-transparent elements, reminiscent of mushroom caps, are integrated into the center as viewing windows. The soft fringe, matte body, and smooth inserts create three distinct surface textures within a single piece.
