POLYCHROMY — a series of jacquard tapestries that continues one of my academic projects, inspired by the work of Le Corbusier. His painting and use of color form the basis for a new reading of modernist compositions in textiles. Le Corbusier himself engaged with tapestry art, viewing it as a means to embody his artistic ideas. This series continues his exploration at the intersection of painting and textiles, translating color and form into the texture and relief of the fabric.
To adapt the illustrations for tapestry format, I reworked the original compositions, adjusting them to the required proportions. I corrected the placement and ratio of the elements to maintain the character of the original while achieving a more harmonious visual balance in the new format.
