The project is a tapestry based on my original illustration series, «Conquered by Nature,» where I explore the world of abandoned medieval settings overrun by void and vegetation, while also speaking to the significance of color.

Original author’s illustration
The initial illustration features the letter «M, ” which corresponds to Mak, Sword, and Moon. In florigraphy, Mak symbolizes eternal sleep, oblivion—themes supported by the deep night and the solitary, cold weapon. When adapting the image for the tapestry, I altered the composition, simplifying it to its most expressive form. I retained only a clean, flat background and the most vibrant elements so that the tapestry would integrate most beautifully and universally into an interior space. I also cropped it to the required format.
