The concept for the «Together» tapestry emerged during my thesis project, which focuses on public health literacy. Within the scope of the main project, I am investigating how people perceive medical information, why they might experience anxiety before seeing a doctor, and what helps build trusting relationships between a patient and a specialist. I am creating media specifically to increase both health literacy and confidence in healthcare.
I immediately wanted to move beyond the conventional formats of medical communication—like appointment slips and consultations—and express the idea of trust through an artistic representation. Thus, the «Together» tapestry came to be. In this scene, there is no distance, formality, or the typical division between the healer and the one needing care—between who is smarter or less intelligent, or more or less complex. Instead, I elevated the image of human closeness, support, and mutual understanding to an absolute ideal.
It is important to me to show that medicine is not just about diagnoses, tests, and prescriptions, but about the relationship between people. Trust in a doctor is built not only on the specialist’s professional knowledge but also on a sense of security, attention to the patient’s concerns, and a willingness to listen. At the same time, health literacy helps individuals better understand their condition, navigate information, and interact consciously with specialists.
The «Together» tapestry serves as the artistic extension of my thesis project. While the main project aims to develop health literacy through accessible and comprehensible media formats, the tapestry conveys its core idea through visual imagery and emotional perception. It serves as a reminder that healthcare should not be built on fear and distrust.

Medicine is a collaborative process that requires knowledge, open dialogue, and human involvement—and most importantly, trust!
