Concept
The central theme of the tapestry was the metaphor of fate, choice, and the search for light in impenetrable darkness.
The foundation is the image of a knight in a birch grove. This is not so much a character as an archetype of a warrior and a wanderer, symbolizing the resolve to follow a chosen path. It weaves together strength and tenderness—an androgynous silhouette in armor, a fighter but not a destroyer, hardened but not calloused. The forest forms a space of trials where there are no landmarks except for a shining star in the distance.
My 2025 work served as the basis and was adapted for this.
