Project Concept
This project continues the final thesis work, but now it is realized not on paper, but in a physical object—a linocut print.

The base for the drawing is taken from maps of the city of Dubossary from different periods. If in the diploma research I read the city analytically, in the print, I interact with it manually: the line traces the streets, blocks, and boundaries, and the overlapping of the periods reveals what has remained constant in the city and what has changed.

Material
Homogeneous linoleum for linocut printing, 2 mm thick—a cutting surface.
Sanded birch plywood, 12 mm thick—base and support for the linoleum.

Parameters
Length 10 cm.
Width 10 cm.

The foundation for the drawings was maps of the city of Dubossary, spanning from the 18th to the 21st centuries. Linocut printing—a characteristic craft of the region—becomes the language of conversation about the city in this project.
