Concept
«Phase» is a concept for a table lamp where the structure of the polymer material inspires the visual form of the object. The project explores the capabilities of polymers through a combination of form, color, and interaction with light.
Polymers are high-molecular-weight compounds whose molecules consist of long chains of repeating structural units joined by chemical bonds. This definition led to the concept of a light fixture as a «chain» of repeating units.
Function and Scenario
This lamp is designed to provide supplemental lighting for a desk and create an aesthetic lighting environment. It can be used in an office or at home as a visual interior accent. The core of the design consists of a housing and an integrated LED light source. The specific arrangement of the light source is determined by the housing’s construction and safe operating requirements.
Each part of the fixture can be swapped out, excluding the base with the bulb. This creates several options for how the fixture can look.The basic set will include one base and five interchangeable segments.
The collection can be expanded further by selling the pieces either individually or in sets.

Design Description.
Production
For the realization of this project, a limited series of 200–300 units is being considered, with production taking place in Russia. The estimated preparation and launch timeframe is approximately 1.5 months with a budget of up to 3 million rubles.
The process includes creating a prototype, testing the structure and light characteristics, selecting the casing manufacturing technology, producing the components, and final assembly. The production method and the cost of the series must be confirmed through calculations with the manufacturers.
