Media Goal
The media project «Ecology of Everyday Life» is aimed at educating people about ecology, waste recycling, and conscious consumption. The main feature of the project is that the ecological theme is approached not through the scale of global problems, feelings of guilt, or aggressive promotion of an eco-friendly lifestyle, but through daily life, curiosity, and small, everyday actions.
The media’s objective is to communicate about ecology using language that is simple, understandable, and engaging, framed through the lens of everyday objects and situations.

The project does not aim to force people to change their lifestyles. It does not categorize individuals as «eco-friendly» or «unfriendly» nor does it judge user behavior. The primary objective is to provide people with knowledge and understanding so that they can independently decide whether they wish to make changes.Beyond educational content, the medium also fulfills a practical function. Users can quickly find information on what to do with a specific unwanted item: where to drop it off, what collection points are available, what types of recyclables they accept, their operating hours, and whether any additional incentives are offered.
Theme
Ecology and Conscious Consumption → Everyday Life Ecology
Media explores the connection between ecological processes and daily human life and the urban environment.
Key thematic areas:
- Ecology in Plain Language (explaining complex recycling processes simply)
- Practical Guides for Specific Fractions (how to prepare materials for recycling and where to take them)
- Ecology in Daily Life (environmental issues through household objects)
Competitors
Competitor Analysis Criteria:1. Thematic focus and main content streams
2. Publication formats
3. Practical information
4. Content navigation and structure
5. Supplementary tools
6. Communication tone
7. Target audience

1. Environmentalism Without Fanaticism
• Direct competition• Telegram channel + Telegram bot
• Covers a wide range of ecological topics (posters, environmental facts), including the author’s personal posts
• Lacks channel navigation
• The Telegram bot helps users find collection points for a specific fraction, without additional information
• Presence of offensive humorous images intended to «mock» people polluting the planet

2. Yunnaty / The First Movement. Ecology
• Indirect competition• Website + messenger channels
• Primarily targeted toward kids, teens, and young adults
• Organize and participate in expeditions, campaigns, festivals, and other events
• Publish interviews, reports, educational materials, event announcements, news, and projects on messengers

3. T-J «Ecology»
• Indirect competition• Online magazine + messenger channels
• Extensive editorial content on various topics related to ecology
• Includes navigation sections such as «How to Sort,» «Eco-Habits,» and «What to Do?»
Conclusions:
— It’s a good idea to create a Telegram bot alongside the Telegram channel to host practical tools.
— The channel needs internal structure using tags so users can easily navigate the information.
— Implement several categories and sections instead of scattering content and trying to cover everything.
— The tone of voice must be positive—avoid offensive jokes, guilt-tripping, and aggressive promotion.
— Posts should be relatable and everyday-life oriented to attract new people who aren’t familiar with the topic.
Distribution Channel
The primary medium distribution channel is the Telegram channel. The project is predominantly geared toward young adults aged 18–30 who regularly use Telegram for communication, news consumption, information gathering, and subscribing to topical channels.
Telegram allows ecological media to be integrated into the user’s existing digital workflow. A person can open the application for general communication or for any other daily reason and simultaneously encounter new material within the channel feed.
Furthermore, Telegram offers robust tools for creating high-quality content. For example, categorization is easily managed through a tagging system, and a post listing all categories can be pinned for quick reference. Additionally, recent updates have introduced the «Articles» feature, which allows for a more professional and high-quality presentation of posts.
Moreover, Telegram enables the creation of a bot that can be assigned practical functions—such as locating recycling drop-off points for specific material fractions, or providing assistance and answers regarding the proper disposal of particular items.
