Concept
The project rethinks a common technical accessory, transforming it into a standalone design object. Instead of a standard plastic organizer, a ceramic holder is created that merges functionality with expressive form, texture, and tactility. It is an object that one wants to carry with them, examine, and feel in their hands.Ceramics were chosen not only for their aesthetic qualities but also for the nature of the interaction with the material. The weight, relief, and cool surface make the contact with the object more visceral. These holders serve as merchandise for the KIN platform—a service for discovering participants in creative fashion projects. Their form reflects the idea of connection and interaction between people. Individual elements are perceived as parts of a unified system, symbolizing the convergence of diverse participants toward a common goal.

Visualizations
The final silhouettes were designed with space allocated for securing the plug. The indentations are an important feature of the construction.
Final Silhouettes
Prototypes made using the slab technique with sculptural plasticine for a better understanding of form.
Technical Information
Clay «Verba»
Forming: Cutting slabs according to the mold.
Firing: Utility (1000 degrees Celsius) Slip-cast (1200 degrees Celsius)
Glazing: Yellow/green/pink engobe («Nikodim» 2005 for ceramics and painting, 970–1200 degrees Celsius) Transparent glaze 0132 (chosen because it is not runny)
Application Method: Layered application, allowing each layer to dry sequentially
Shrinkage: 6%
Dimensions of the items before clay shrinkage: height 70 mm, length 80 mm, thickness 5 mm
Fabrication Technology

- Prepare the slab; roll the clay to a thickness of 4–5 mm.
- Cut the desired shape using a mold and allow it to partially dry.
- Refine the surfaces, smoothing out irregularities and problematic areas.

- First Firing: We fire the dried pieces at 1000 degrees.
5. Painting with Engobes: We cover the pieces with colored engobes in multiple layers.
6. Second Firing: We fire the pieces again to set the painting at 1000 degrees.

- Cover the piece with clear glaze
8. Third firing (glaze firing): fire the pieces to fully set at 1200 degrees
Re-submission option
To repeat the work, you must save the molds and cutouts created for securing and holding the plug. Color variations are possible. Template molds were also created, which help speed up the process by cutting the necessary silhouettes from the clay. The 3D shape files were created in ArtCAM and can be printed on a 3D printer if necessary.
